YouTube clicks are a hot topic.
Mike, the YouTube channel’s creator, explains how the PFBC brought against him 18 criminal charges after he filmed the viral clip – which now has 1.66M views – and any subsequent footage. This list includes six counts each of polluting waterways or watersheds, six of littering near water, and four more counts of driving a vehicle in a stream.
Street Speed 717 continues to explain that the videos were taken on private property and didn’t cause any damage to the environment. Mike claims that his TRX didn’t leak gasoline or oil coolant, which would have caused fish to become sick. He doesn’t accept the littering charges against him either, stating that he went to the location to film his video and then returned home without dumping any trash on the property.
He’s not facing any specific charges for his TRX jump video. Instead, he is being charged with “running a car without forwarding in a most direct way”. Mike believes that the 18 criminal charges against him are “truly hateful” and is currently speaking with lawyers to resolve the issue. The YouTuber explained the PFBC’s decision against him and added:
“I pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes, and I don’t even want any free stuff. The government cannot help but to say: “Here’s a guy making a living, you see, living his dream. Let’s ruin it as best we can. It’s our duty to destroy it. It’s still crazy, and they’re trying to throw the book at us because it’s so easy.
Although he admits that there is always risk in recording videos because “some things not exactly legal” are still important to him, he didn’t think driving his Ram TRX through a stream would pose such a problem. Mike claims these accusations won’t stop him from jumping, and he’s currently building ramps to make viral videos.
