Three-Row Buick EnvisionGX Leaks in China Before Official Debut

Another row of seats but all else is very similar.

Buick is steadily expanding its range of crossovers with many models receiving the GX treatment. This update brings another row of seats and a new look to the Buick lineup. The Envision is the latest Buick to follow suit, and it made its debut in China early before GM’s official unveiling. It was immediately evident that the model 2022 has been spotted in China.
It looks almost identical with its 2021 counterpart  The tri-shield’s latest offering is not only larger, but also features a slightly altered front fascia. This includes a larger grille as well as more angular bumper profiles. A metal bar connects the headlights and grille to create a single element.
The engine is the same. The turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 produces 237 horsepower (176kilowatts) as well as 258 pound-feet (355 newton-meters). The nine-speed automatic transmission of GM will receive the piston power. The GX will continue to be offered with all-wheel drive, in keeping with the continuity of its standard version.

This model will be unveiled at the Shanghai Autoshow in April. GM Authority reported, however, that the new crossover would be a global vehicle. This means it will be available in North American and Chinese markets.

This means that the Envision GX will be positioned above the Encore GX and the regular Envision. The three-row variant has roughly the same proportions to the Enclave. Although you might argue that it unnecessarily complicates Buick’s Crossover lineup with its three-row variant, we would be remiss to not mention that many automakers currently have multiple three row vehicles.
