Luxury meets performance.
It’s not surprising that the Bentley brand has become synonymous with luxury sport, but its racing division can sometimes spill over into road vehicles. The British automaker now offers a carbon fiber exterior package to Bentayga, and Continental GT clients.
Bentley stated that the package would include a carbon front splitter and side sills as well as a rear diffuser and boot lid spoiler in high-gloss finishes. These are not bolt-on options that can be ripped off if you run into an amoeba. Bentley carefully designed the design using the same quality fit-and finish that Bentley uses in the interiors of its cars.
The company put in great effort to ensure that these parts add to the vehicle’s performance, as per Bentley’s agreement. British automaker Bentley used computational fluid dynamics software (CFD), to ensure the new panels complemented the aerodynamic packages of the Continental GT, Bentayga and Bentayga. Also, tests were conducted to determine the impact on powertrain cooling and brake cooling, noise levels and vibrations.
The exterior components match the interior components to create a stunning aesthetic. Bentley created a three-dimensional electroformed logo that will be attached to the package’s side skirts. These design queues do not affect performance. Each component is woven in the same direction as Bentley’s unique twill carbon layout pattern to ensure maximum strength, and minimal weight.
These new exterior pieces will undoubtedly enhance the luxurious look of Bentley’s flagship cars while also improving their performance. We’d love to hear your opinions on these new pieces in the comments section.
