Upgrades are available for $6,800 on the tuned RS6.
Carwow To see how the upgrades work, we compared the stock RS6 Avant to the Awesome GTI-tuned model. Stock RS6 has a twin-turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 that produces 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts), and 590 poundfeet (890 Newton-meters). The tuned version produces 800 horsepower (596 kW) as well as 737 lbft (1, 000 Nm) of torque. The engines are connected to an eight-speed transmission and all-wheel drive system. However, Awesome GTI had the task of limiting the engine output at the launch.
It’s a tuned RS6 Avant, which can get off the line with its stock self. However, that doesn’t last. The wagon’s tuned power puts distance between it, and the stock model without any issues. The quarter-mile was completed by the stock Audi in 11.4 seconds while the tuned version took 10.9 seconds. The results were the same for the rolling-start race. However, the tuned one was faster. The Awesome GTI Avant also passed a brake test, even though it does not have brake upgrades. It has different rubber.
To make the Awesome GTI tune more powerful, it doesn’t need much work. The ECU tune is paired with a Milltek exhaust and performance air filter to give the engine more power. Although it’s not cheap, it provides a significant upgrade without spending a lot of money.
