What if every big tech company got into the car-making business?

What if every big tech company got into the car-making business?Zoom meetings might one day have zoom.

It’s now time to try something totally different. Here’s the problem: Is a concept as bizarre as cars manufactured by large tech companies really that much different? It is well-known that Apple has long discussed the possibility of introducing its own car. We must not forget about the Sony Vision S concept that astonished us all in 2020 with its production-ready design. Are you afraid now?

Don’t be. Vanarama has sent us these bizarre renderings for the sole purpose of creating a fun future. Let’s face, we all could benefit from being a little goofy. With that in mind, let’s suspend disbelief for a moment and picture yourself riding in one these tech-sourced autonomous machines. Some may be more enjoyable than others. We wouldn’t mind spending some time in this one right now.

This is not the car we would want to drive. While 2020 was a significant step forward in remote face-to–face communication, it also showed how many people prefer to lounge around in their underwear. As such, can you imagine the people in this mobile Zoom car inadvertently picking their nose or passively-aggressively road-raging at other cars during a meeting? You’re probably one of the people who has been in Zoom meetings where at least one person forgot to turn off the camera.

Amazon already sells all sorts of stuff so why not a vehicle, or in this instance, a van? Vanarama claims that the van comes with its own fleet drones. This makes us wonder if there are any commercial uses for this idea. There is enough space for tools and materials inside, so drones could be used to do everything, from transporting items to contractors to surveying or even performing work in difficult-to-reach places. This is actually the most practical idea out of all the ones we’ve discussed.

While the Amazon van is the most practical, Apple’s car will be the most practical. Although it won’t look exactly like this, we can speculate a few details about the car if it is an Apple product. It should look great and be packed with tech, but it also need to be extremely expensive. You can expect some great features, but not common-sense items such as cupholders. It would actually have cupholders but they will be square, not round… a perfect match for the $150 set Apple iCups at your local Apple store.

Let’s face it. CineMove is already in existence. It’s not the rectangular, gull-winged machine shown here. This machine looks very similar to full-motion VR rides that can be found in many shopping centers across America. Although the aftermarket already has a lot of custom machines that come with mobile sound or video gear, this machine replaces the front windshield with an LCD TV screen. It’s amazing to see Marty McFly go 88 mph in Doc Brown’s DeLorean, while is actually going 88. You’ll see some serious shit if that happens.

This is the tech-sourced vehicle that will allow those who want to go to the gym, but don’t have the time or the desire. The exercise bike that comes with the autonomous EV would not only be a great way to get in a workout before work but could also charge your batteries. Although it might sound great in theory, it’s not practical unless you have a shower. This is a sure-fire failure.

This isn’t a failure. It’s a win. It’s a major win and one that we are looking for right now. Why not? It’s an autonomous evolution in #Vanlife, which has seen a huge global revival over the past few years. The rideshare service is more than just a way to get you to your destination. It takes you to your relaxing destination, with the added benefit of being on the go. It is a destination? It’s possible. We know what we want.
