Please, V12 on the rocks
This clip is from Fortunately Kidston Productions It is much more energetic. It is held in and around Gstaad in the Swiss Alps, a snazzy location where snow is clean and mustaches are full.
Range Rovers can’t quite get you to your destination. We are led to believe that for the first minute or so of the mini-movie. Then, the film ends with our muzzled adventurer returning to Gstaad Palace in defeat. Until the desk clerk rings the special guest with a “new idea”.
Take a look at the next morning, which could be 1989 according to the neon-infused outfit. Our reenergized hero climbs behind a SUV with more attitude. Lamborghini built the Countach-powered LM002 between 1986 and 1993, making just 328 units. It weighed three tons and had the aerodynamic and aesthetic properties of limestone. It was able to produce 444 horsepower (331 kW) at a time in which the most basic pickup trucks could not reach 200 horsepower (149kilowatts).
This video gives us a glimpse of it, even though the tires aren’t the best for the conditions. The fun part about conquering snow is powergliding through it. To that end, the LM002 powers up a ski slope and drifts through corners. These iconic SUVs are now selling for upwards of $500,000, so it isn’t at all a winter beater. This video is all the more impressive.
There have been some very funny, but sweet Kidston videos over the years. We hope they continue to do so.
