A new Fast & Furious trailer confirms that Flying Fiero is headed to Space

Yes, space.

Are you up for the madness? We’ve seen the Fast & Furiousfamily pull a huge safe with two Dodge Chargers and battle enemies on an endless runway. They also jumped cars between skyscrapers. And, of course, there was the avalanche of autonomous cars in New York, despite the fact that most of them have manual controls. What do you think about the Pontiac Fiero spaceship?
This is the message from the Fast & Furious 9 trailer. We saw the rocket-powered Fiero in action in the first trailer. But now, the wild rumors of the Fast space saga are confirmed. We see Roman (played here by Tyrese) and Tej (played here by Ludacris), strapped into the Fiero, which is mounted on top of a large cargo plane. The Fiero is surrounded by booster rockets. It’s not a Reliant Robin, but it isn’t.

What about the rest? Vin Diesel plays Dominic Toretto, reminding us that family is Dominic’s most important thing. With one exception, his actual families. John Cena plays Dom’s younger brother Jakob. He’s not happy about being in his big brother’s shadow for so many years. His army is dedicated to Dom’s misery, but we also know Jakob is evil as he spells Dom’s name with a k rather than a _c.

There are also more scenes featuring the apparent super magents that were revealed in the previous teaser. We also see more scenes featuring Cipher’s (played here by Charlize Thon) sci-fi-looking plane and more scenes of crazy driving. Helen Mirren’s Magdalene Shaw, played by Nathalie Emanuel, breaks into a sly grin during a car chase. Ramsey (played as Charlize Theron) confesses that she cannot drive and we don’t know how Han, played by Sung Kang, is back from the grave. It’s typical Fast & Furious storytelling, with the added excitement of a Pontiac Fiero orbiter. We will be very disappointed if Roman or Tej do not shout distinct at any point in that sequence.

It looks wild and it may not be the final trailer before the film is released. F9 will be released in theaters in the US and the UK on June 25.
