Is that a Supra?
The Toyota Supra has been a very popular car amongst fans. The Japanese sports car is a great jumping off point for many in the JDM aftermarket industry. Avante Design has created a body kit that gives the Mk5 Supra a unique factory look.
Avante had never even touched the Toyota They started by admiring the JDM community as an inspiration. They were inspired by the JDM community. Supra Because it is such a beloved vehicle in that circle, the design team wanted the kit to look OEM while still capturing the spirit of the meetups among enthusiasts.
The new massaged fascia starts at the front. It features a wide-open front bumper that slashes the factory vents into one large scoop. A larger front splitter is now available, flanked by aero flicks at the bumper’s leading edges. Although the splitter may not be groundbreaking in the aftermarket world, it is supported by larger vents between bumper and headlights.
Although the rear appears unaltered, one cannot help but mention the louvers that cover the rear windows and the huge rear wing. Avante Design, a nod to the Supras of old added clear acrylic to enhance visibility. An auxiliary brake light can be moved to the bottom of your rear window dressing by the kit.
Although the redesign is still a concept, these renders show the stage two and three kits in yellow. Avante Design claims that they have received unprecedented interest in the availability of these items, so we would wager that production could be possible.
