Ford Racing has released a new kit that will increase the Ford Mustang GT’s power output by 51 percent. The 5.0-liter TiVCT V8 engine produces 624 horsepower (665 kW, 633 PS, and up to 536 feet-lb (726Nm) thanks to a twin-screw supercharger.
Customers will receive a supercharger along with an air to liquid intercooler and drive belt, intake manifold and new fuel injectors for $7,500. ProCal engine calibration tool is also included. The normally black kit can also be ordered in polished chrome for $600
We aren’t sure why anyone would want to purchase this package. Ford Racing claims that they offer a 750 horsepower (559kW, 760 PS), polished supercharger kit to the 2011 Mustang for $900 less than their black kit. This kit offers a 17 psi increase over the 9 psi of the weaker kit. Instead, it uses a Twin Screw supercharger of 2.9-liters.
You get more power for your money. We are pretty certain which Mustang package would we choose.
