Chevrolet Corvette C8 Mid-Engined Spied Running Around Nurburgring

recently captured the mid-engined Chevrolet Corvette at the Nurburgring. Motor1.com now has photographs of the eagerly awaited machine’s progress there. These photos give a great look at the model.

Chevrolet Corvette C8 is not revealed by the camouflage of this ‘Vette. It is exactly the same concealment as the other test mules seen in the multitude of spy photos and videos. It is funny to see Michigan plates on a car that runs around the Nurburgring.

Since summer 2018, , we haven’t seen Corvette at Nurburgring. The debut of the model is only days away, so it seems that the model’s development is almost complete. It is possible that Chevy will bring the model there to see how fast it can lap the famous course. Marketing would love to boast how fast the new generation is compared to the old one, especially if it can beat notable competitors.

The Corvette’s mid-engined Corvette will debut with a 6.2 liter V8 producing around 460 horsepower (343kW) and running through a dual clutch gearbox. There are likely to be hotter models, such as a model with a dual-overhead cam V8 from Cadillac’s 4.2-liter twin-turbo Blackwing engine, and eventually a hybrid version making an estimated 1,000 horsepower (745kW).

Motor1.com will be present to witness the much-anticipated Corvette’s debut in Tustin on July 18. In late 2019, production will begin in Bowling Green (Kentucky). The mid-engined model will be available for customers to install in their garages in 2020.
