Canadians will only be able to purchase the BMW M8 Individual Manufaktur Edition. Buyers can feel proud that they own the first M8 of its kind in the world. Only 20 of these vehicles are available in Canada. Ten are painted in Fire Red, while the remaining ten are Frozen Black. They also feature exposed carbon fiber trim on the side skirts and kidney grilles.
The M8 Individual Manufaktur edition has a merino interior in Sakhir Orange or Black, with Sakhir Orange stitching. The cupholders and lid of the wireless charging tray have carbon fiber trim. Both parts are inscribed with the BMW Individual Manufaktur logo.
Individual Manufaktur Editions take the M8 Competition model as their starting point and make aesthetic improvements. It is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that produces 617 horsepower (460 Kilowatts) and 553 pound feet (750 Newton-meters). The transmission is an eight-speed automatic to an all-wheel drive system. The car can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds. The carbon-fiber engine cover can also be seen when the owners display the powerplant to their friends.
The M8 Individual Manufaktur edition will be available in Canada in October 2019. It costs $198,000 (or 150,385 USD) at the current exchange rate. The M8 should arrive in the United States starting in September. The standard coupe costs $133,995 and the Competition model $146,995 respectively. Customers can also choose a convertible, which costs $143,495 for Competition trim or $156,495 for the standard coupe.
