A new front fascia features a wide intake or the AMG Line option for a sporty look.
The Mercedes-Benz and Marco Polo campers get a facelift that changes the van’s appearance, interior and driver assistance tech. In March 2019, the models will go on sale in Europe for 36,990 euros (current exchange rates: $42,355), which includes 19 percent VAT.
By incorporating a large inlet in the lower fascia, the new front end makes V-Class look wider. The piece is finished with a chrome trim in a bracket-shaped design. The optional AMG Line package adds an extra shiny single-bar grille as well as a fascia with three intakes. This gives the van a sportier appearance.
The V-Class has made minor interior changes, including new trim and redesigned vents. Buyers can add luxury to their van with many new options. Nappa leather and Lugano are two options. You have the option of accent materials such as piano lacquer or ebonywood, carbon fiber, or brushed aluminum.
New assistance technology will make driving more enjoyable for drivers. Optional Active Brake Assist will alert the driver and then stop the van. Highbeam Assist Plus can automatically dim the lights if necessary.
Mercedes has also introduced the V300d model to update its powertrain range. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine produces 236 horsepower (176 Kilowatts) as well as 369 pound-feet (599 Newton-meters). The powerplant enters an “overboost” phase during hard acceleration to increase torque by 22 lb/ft (30 Nm). The vehicle comes standard with a 9-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. However, all-wheel drive is available.
Mercedes claims that an electric version is coming to the Metris, and the Concept EQV’s debut in Geneva will give a glimpse of what the production model might look like.
