German media reports that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class’s next generation will be unveiled in full on December 16, when it will go on sale.
A German blog specialized in providing Mercedes-Benz-related content says the new C-Class will be revealed online two weeks from today, ahead of a public debut scheduled for January at NAIAS in Detroit. The 2014 C Class will be available in a C220 BlueTEC diesel version that produces 170 bhp (12.7 kW) upon its launch. A gasoline engine will be available in the C180 with 156bhp (11.6 kW) and the C200 with 184bhp (137 kW).
You can choose from a range of exterior paint options, including iridium, palladium, brilliant blue and polar white. According to the same source, Mercedes-Benz will replace the Elegance trim by Line Exclusive. However, it will use some of the technology found in the S-Class flagship.
Airmatic suspension, keyless-go system, and an adjustable radiator shutter (visually noticeable) will all be included in the Line Exclusive version.
