Romania’s budget-friendly SUV has lost its rear bench in order to allow for a larger loading area.
Three weeks ago, the Ford Fiesta received the van treatment. Now the Dacia Duster has undergone the same changes. The Duster Fiskal is a long-standing model in Austria, and it will soon be making the transition to the second generation SUV. The utilitarian vehicle caters to small businesses and eliminates the rear bench to allow for a large loading area.
Flat load compartment with rubber mat measures 1.64 meters (64.5 inches) in length and has four lashing points for your cargo. The steel divider wall is strong enough to divide the passenger and cargo areas. To keep prying eyes away, the rear windows have been blocked to protect the cargo inside. It is worth noting that Dacia went beyond just covering the exterior glass with a white plastic panel. Instead, it covered it with metal and covered it with a piece of fabric.
The loading volume of the Duster is almost identical to the regular Duster, even though it was not stated in the press release. The front-wheel-drive version can hold 1,636 liters, while the 4×4 model can take 1,604 Liters.
The Duster Fiskal offers 4×4 and has the advantage over the Logan MCV Fiskal and Sandero models. However, the Duster Fiskal also offers an optional 4×4 layout. The other two models are only available with front-wheel drive. Dacia Austria is selling the SUV-turnedvan with all the engines and equipment available for the regular Duster. The conversion costs are EUR1,730 (around $2,045).
