New 8-Speed Auto and a Refreshed 2019 Kia Sedona arrive in NY

For online surfing, the rear-seat entertainment system is now compatible with a smartphone.

Kia will unveil the new K900 as well as the updated Opma. The refreshed 2019 Sedona completes the impressive lineup of debuts at this year’s New York Auto Show. The new van will go on sale by the end of this year.

The Sedona still uses a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 276 horsepower (206 Kilowatts) et 248 lbf (336 Newton-meters). The engine is now connected to an 8-speed automatic instead of the six-speed. The change will increase fuel economy and allow for smoother acceleration, according to Kia.

The exterior changes made by Kia include new front and rear fascias. However, they are difficult to see. Although the lower sections of the minivan are more angular than the upper, they don’t alter its styling. The mid-level EX grade vehicles have a button on the handle to activate the power sliding door. SX and SXL, the top trims, now have LED headlights. The SXL also features a skid plate and foglights as well as 19-inch chrome wheels.

However, the biggest changes are made inside. The driver assistance suite includes Driver Attention Warning, which monitors driver fatigue and alerts the driver if it finds that the driver is getting too tired. There’s also a new wireless charger for your phone and a holder for your sunglasses between the seats.

Rear-seat occupants can now take advantage of the new Rear Entertainment System. The existing overhead screen is no longer sufficient. Each seat now has a 10.1-inch touchscreen on its back. These touchscreens have smartphone mirroring so that people can pair their Internet enabled devices with them and then go online. A new USB charging point is available in the cargo area. This allows you to keep your device charged.
