The Repairman Saves the Day for C-Class Members

After 10 days of hard work, this C300 4Matic is now on its way.

Arthur Tussik, Motor1.com’s favourite repairman, had a lot to do recently when a badly damaged Mercedes C-Class came to his shop. The “before” photos below show that the C300 was in an accident. The front end of the car was so badly damaged you couldn’t tell what kind of car it was. The impact also caused the airbags to activate, as the door and rear-right fender were also damaged.

Arthur was ready for the challenge and eager to get to work to bring the C-Class back to shape. The first order of business? First, get rid of the hood. It was difficult to remove the bent frame rails from the vehicle and return them to their original positions. To ensure that everything aligned properly before welding began, many measurements were taken.

To work on the wheel arch, the door that had been damaged needed to be removed from the rear end of the car. Arthur also found that this was a tedious process. After putting the repaired door back, he noticed a small gap that needed to be filled. After assembling the car, he checked that everything fit before sending it off to the paint shop. After removing any damaged parts, he gave the car a new coat of paint.

The only thing left was to put it all back together and restore the all-wheel drive Mercedes back to its former glory. The handy Russian repairman worked five days to fix the C-Class’s body, then sent it to the paint shop for five more days.
