Delivery is still expected to begin by the summer.
The 2021 Ford Bronco has been the most anticipated Blue Oval of this year. Although the vehicle was launched nearly a year ago and is still in production, we know it will be delivered sooner or later.
The two-door Bronco and four-door Bronco were launched with power rating ratings. The smaller EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost is rated at 270 horsepower (201 Kilowatts) or 310 lbft (420 Newton meters) of torque. The larger turbocharged V6 EcoBoost 2.7-liter was rated at 310 horsepower (231 kW) or 400 lbft (542Nm) of torque.
It turns out that Ford was lying about these numbers. The Bronco technical specification PDF released today by the Blue Oval shows that the final SAE-rated power output figures for the SUV are slightly higher than originally announced.
According to the spec sheet, the EcoBoost V6 is capable of producing up to 330 horsepower (246kW) or 415 lb/ft (563Nm). The EcoBoost V6 can produce up to 330 HP (246kW) or 415 lb/ft (563Nm). These numbers require premium fuel, however. They will be slightly lower if you choose regular fuel.
Bronco owners who are interested in buying a Bronco should be happy to learn about the rise in power ratings. The smaller, 2.3L four-pot mill is now capable of exceeding 300 horsepower when it is fed with more expensive fuel.
The current semiconductor crisis has caused the Bronco’s production to be stopped. Ford isn’t going to stop on its current course, however, as Ford assured concerned owners that deliveries would still start by summer, or around June 20, and it will continue with its current production schedule.
While you wait, make sure to read the leaked technical specification sheet and verify the numbers.
