Chevy has some big design changes in store for Silverado.
The refreshed grille of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado has been published with permission. It was discovered by GM Authority. We should see the updated truck soon.
This image seems to be from a sketch of the truck’s design. The current design has a larger mesh grille at the middle of the grille and the “Chevrolet” name is now above it.
The lower section is entirely different. The center opening forces the foglights inwardly, unlike the current design. Instead of the vertical inlets running along each side, trapezoidal holes were placed on each side.
The new design replaces the split headlights. Instead, it uses a bracket-shape design to connect the upper and lower sections. The drawing shows that the light is divided into three sections. The headlight is the largest, while the one to the left is the turn signal.
The spy photos of the new Silverado’s Silverado’s development do not give a clear view at the rear. We expect new taillights, but nothing else. The Silverado has adopted the Multi-Flex tailgate for 2021.
The Silverado interior reportedly receives major tech upgrades. It may look a lot like the new Suburban. The refreshed Sierra Denali is shown in a teaser photo. It has a digital gauge cluster. This screen could also be available for Silverado’s higher-end trims.
Spy photos also reveal that Chevy is working on a rugged ZR2 Silverado. It reportedly has Multimatic DSSV dampers and a raised ride height. There would be parts that allow for better approach and departure angles. According to reports, the powerplant is the same 6.2-liter V8 that is available in Silverado’s other grades.
