However, it could get worse.
2020 was a difficult year for everyone. If this teaser video of Jeremy Clarkson’s next Amazon Prime adventure shows, it was tough on Clarkson’s farm too. We get our first glimpse at the long-awaited new farming feature Clarkson’s Farm. It looks exactly as you would expect.
The farm footage opens with Clarkson driving an Lamborghini, but it is one of a completely different nature. Lamborghini was born in the tractor building business. Lambo continues to build tractors today. Although we don’t see Clarkson driving this car around corners, the teaser video shows him driving it into buildings. He also drives an excavator, an enormous industrial forklift, and pilots (yes, pilots!) a quadcopter drone. It could be the same one that was used in the first season The Grand Tour.
According to the trailer, Clarkson’s Farm is very similar to the ham-fisted and dumber-than–thou schtick that we’ve seen from Clarkson during his Top Gear, The Grand Tour days. The teaser then cuts to an image of Clarkson’s farm completely submerged, followed by a scene in which he is presumably discussing his chances for survival if he gets the coronavirus. He did get it in late 2020. He did recover, but he will still be recovering. Clarkson is too stubborn for COVID.
Clarkson’s Farm will be available on Amazon Prime starting June 11. But, fans may also be curious when the next adventure by Clarkson, Hammond and May will air. Season 5 of The Grand Tour will see the famous motoring trio return home to Scotland for an unknown reason. They drive three large American cars for other reasons. The next series, barring any delays, should be available on Amazon Prime by 2021.
