Mercedes officially revealed the GLE Coupe after this afternoon’s leak.
GLE 450 AMG’s automatic nine-speed transmission has a Dynamic Select system that allows for five modes to be selected: INDIVIDUAL (COMFORT), SLIPPERY and SPORT+). The latter mode allows for gear changes to be “acoustically enhanced” and cockpit instruments to respond quicker and more “sharply”. A “photo-realistic motorsports graphic” is used to display the car’s longitudinal and lateral accelerations, as well as the steering angle. The GLE 450AMG interior is distinguished by a nappa-leather sports steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and carbon fiber trim with pianoblack accents.
The standard model comes with sport seats, a sport steering column, and an infotainment screen. You can also find aluminum or wood trim and shadow accents in silver. We reported that the GLE Coupe will launch with a few different engines. Mercedes did not provide any details but confirmed that the GLE 350 d 4MATIC will have 258 PS (190kW) and 620Nm (457 lbft) of torque. The GLE 400 4MATIC’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine produces 333 PS (245kW) and 480Nm (354lb-ft). The GLE 450 AMG, which is also available in a twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine, produces 367 PS (383 kW) and 520Nm (383 lbft) of torque.
