They are not as they seem.
You’d find special BMW editions in Japan. Two limited-run BMW 8 Series models and the BMW X5 are the latest. Black is a classic vehicle color. It exudes class and confidence, with no playful hues. The BMW 8 Series FrozenBlack Edition will be available for purchase by June if you are among the majority car buyers who love black cars, other than white and gray.
The special edition version comes in Frozen Black paint, with kidney grille and 20-inch light alloy style 728M wheels. It also has M Sport brake calipers. The interior features include black M Sport seats, an Alcantara roofliner for BMW Individual, extended Merino leather upholstery and a BMW Individual piano black trim. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround sound system completes the package. Frozen black edition is available in 8Series Coupe or 8 Series Gran Coupe. Only 5 units are allocated for the two-door, and 15 for the four-door. The 840i trim is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-6 engine that produces 335 horsepower and 500 Nm.
The BMW 8 Series Frozen Black Edition is limited and retails at 15 million yen ($135,385) Coupe and 15.1million yen ($1362,288) Gran Coupe. Order books open June 30, 2021. The BMW X5 Pleasure Edition might sound a little odd, but it is actually a set of features that enhance the comfort and performance of the sport activity vehicle. The special edition BMW X5 is also available in limited quantities (production halts by the end of July). It comes standard with 21 inch alloys and adaptive suspension.
The X5 Pleasure Edition offers a variety of options, including seven seats, semi-autonomous driving tech and rear collision warning. There are also emergency stop assistance and lane change assist. Heating is available for the second row. Leather upholstery and ash wood trims are included. There is only one option under the hood. It’s the 3.0 liter straight-6 diesel engine. This produces 286 hp (650 Nm) and 479 lbft (650 lb-ft) of power and torque in xDrive30d models worldwide. With current exchange rates, the X5 Pleasure Edition is available for sale in Japan at 10.38 million yen or $93,687
