Toyota has revealed the Voxy G’s and Noah G’s concepts in advance of the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The models are described as “souped up minivans”, and have an aggressive body kit, which includes sportier rear and front bumpers. These concepts include mesh grille inserts and red brake calipers. They also come with alloy wheels in a dark finish.

Toyota had nothing to say but said that both models are being designed to give minivans a sportier feel. The automaker insists that the vans are comfortable and offer a smooth ride.

The standard vans can be fitted with a 2.0-liter four cylinder petrol engine producing 152 PS (150bhp/112kW) and 193Nm (142lb-ft). Performance specifications are not known. Customers can also choose a hybrid version that uses a 1.8 liter engine to produce 99 PS (97bhp/73kW) and 142Nm (104lb-ft).

The minivans will be displayed alongside the S-FR Racing concept, which has an aggressive body kit, a ventilated roof, carbon fiber reinforced plastic containers, and a huge rear wing.
