After last week’s teaser Kia has revealed the SPORTSPACE concept, which will be displayed in metal at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

Last week’s teaser photo only showed the front of the car. This led us to believe that Kia was working on a wagon concept. Today, SPORTSPACE has a preview of the next generation Optima. It will most likely be available in a more practical body style. This wagon, which is mid-sized, was created in Frankfurt and promises “stylish transportation for four.”

This concept has a lower roofline, a bulging hood and vented front and back fenders. The production version features “ice cube” headlights and a smaller production version. The front features a shiny upper grille, retractable door handles that can be retracted, slim side mirrors, and stylish alloy wheels. At the back, there are two chrome exhaust tips.

The cabin is simple and functional, with a large touchscreen display, leather-wrapped seats, a panoramic sunroof, as well as many metallic and glossy accents.

Although Kia has not mentioned the dimensions of this car, the side profile suggests it is quite large. This is especially evident when you consider the length of the doors and the substantial rear overhang.

The Kia SPORTSPACE concept debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show on March 3.
