California-based Road Race Motorsports introduced the Fiat 500 Abarth.
This Fiat 500 is undoubtedly the most extreme ever, with 250 bhp (186kW) and 250lb-ft (339Nm) of torque coming from the same turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine. Road Race Motorsports developed the 500 “M1 Turbo Tallini Competizione”, which is 54 kg (119 pounds) lighter than the stock 500. This was achieved through extensive carbon fiber use and a stripped-down interior cabin.
The front-wheel-drive, road-legal car still needs just six seconds to do the 0-62mph (0-100 km/h), while the bigger brakes stop it approximately 20 percent quicker than the Fiat 500 Abarth.
Road Race Motorsports asks for 60,000 GBP (101.200 USD / 75.700 EUR) to upgrade the entire kit, which is limited at 50 units. You can also choose from smaller packages starting at 10,000 GBP (16.800 USD / 12,600 EUR).
Although it isn’t the fastest Fiat 500 Abarth, the road-legal Biposto that was shown in Geneva earlier in the year can do the sprint from 0-62 mph in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed at 143 mph (223 km/h) despite only 190 bhp (1142 kW).
