Later in the summer, the truck will be available at Nissan’s showrooms.
The start of production on the fully overhauled truck is a celebration by the company. It will be assembled at Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant. Since 2012, the Frontier has been manufactured at this facility. The new model will draw on the company’s six decades of experience in truck manufacturing in the US.
Tim Fallon, Vice President at Nissan Canton plant, stated that the all-new Frontier exceeded our expectations and set new standards in mid-size truck technology, power, and capability. “The Canton plant team is proud and ready to make the next generation of the toughest, strongest trucks on the market.
The non-Pro-4X trim has a modified front bumper and an overall less flashy appearance. Nissan has not revealed any details regarding the differences in the trim levels. However, it states that all 2022 Frontiers will feature a new design featuring a “powerful front end with massive grille and chiseled roof.”
The new Frontier’s standard engine is a 3.8-liter direct injection V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower at its peak. You can choose to have the motor mated with a nine speed automatic transmission or, depending on your trim level, an all-wheel drive system. The Pro-4X comes standard with AWD.
