The new Lexus RX is being tested for the first-time, ahead of its expected unveiling next week at NAIAS.
The new generation Lexus RX has been spy tested ahead of an expected unveil next Wednesday at NAIAS. This luxury crossover of mid-size size is set to enter its fourth generation. It will be larger than the NX, which is smaller. The full body camouflage makes it easy to see that the new RX will have an evolution in design. It will feature a larger front spindle grille, and LED-equipped headlights. The rear layout is the same, but there are two big exhaust tips. Meanwhile, the taillights will continue spreading onto the large tailgate. The details of the 2016 Lexus RX are still unknown, but it is possible that Lexus will offer the third row seating option for those who require to transport up to six people. Our spy photographers noticed a prototype with a significantly higher ride height, which could indicate that engineers were testing the suspension system. The new RX could be on display at Lexus as soon as next week at Detroit’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). It is expected that the car will go on sale in 2016 as a model year.
