The model is based on the 2021 four-door model with Sasquatch packages. And no, it’s not a new trim you can buy. Although this is a concept car, you can purchase the accessories to create your own Riptide if you are interested in open-air surfing adventures. You can find almost all accessories.
Missy Coolsaet (Bronco color and materials design) said, “For this Bronco Riptide Project, we imagined someone who enjoys the open road and a free-spirited West Coast life.” “We wanted the vehicle show how Bronco customers can customize their vehicle. This would allow different customers to envision what they want to do with their future Bronco.”
Ford equipped this Bronco’s with a Bimini top and Yakima bike rack. It also has a Rigid LED lightbar, mirror-mounted offroad lights, and tube doors. The front bumper will be different for Keen Bronco enthusiasts, but Ford claims it’s a prototype unit. This means that 99 percent of the parts you need to build your Riptide can be purchased. You’re free to choose your surfboards.
Coolsaet explained that the Bronco modular design allowed us to outfit the vehicle in adventure gear, which allows for freedom and versatility. The Bronco Riptide custom vehicle can be taken to the California coast or the mountains.
Ford also wants to remind customers that Blue Oval accessories are available for purchase. However, that is not possible at this time. Ford has had to stop production of the hardtop due to serious quality issues. Also, Ford will replace all Broncosalready shipped hardtops. This will take place before any new Broncos go to the assembly line. However, it doesn’t mean that people can’t place orders . It could take over a year before orders are filled. It’s no surprise that some people are trying to obtain $150,000 for their Bronco.
The Bronco Riptide is part of a growing number of Ford-built offroad concepts that are designed to show customization options.
