Land Rover had promised earlier this year that it would deliver the three-row, long-wheelbase Defender model, the 130, in 18 months. This was March and the automaker appears to be able to meet the self-imposed deadline. The SUV is seen in a new set of spy photos. Although it’s camouflaged, the SUV’s boxy design makes it easy to see.

It doesn’t seem like any cladding is distorting the sharp-edged design. This leaves it looking familiar Defender Design hidden under a camouflage cover in black-and-white. The Defender has all the characteristics of a modern Land Rover but its greatest feature is its length. It is expected that the Defender will stretch to 201in (5,100 milimeters), which 13 inches (342 millimeters more than the Defender 110) and 8.9in (227 mm longer than the Defender 227).

Mercedes G-Class .The interior photos aren’t available, but it should be in line with other Defender models. The Defender 130 can also seat eight people, so it will likely cost more than the Defender 110. It will be available only in the top-tiered trim levels. This means it will come with all the luxury features you would expect from a high-end vehicle. We don’t expect Land Rover to make any major interior changes.

Land Rover will be able to slip in its powertrain lineup. This includes diesel, gasoline, hybrids and the supercharged V8 which will produce 550 horsepower (410kilowatts). The brand’s mild hybrid 3.0-liter straight-6 gas engine produces 360 horsepower (268kilowatts) in the prototype. Although Land Rover has not yet revealed the date, the 18-month timeline suggests that the Defender 130 will be available before Fall 2022.
