Flashy Lamborghini Aventador Gets LEDs, Swarovski Crystals

Oh, Japan. We are always amazed by you, Japan.

The Fast and Furious movies, especially Tokyo Drift, are the best ways to get a taste of modern Japanese car culture. There’s more to it than that. In fact, the third installment of the well-known car movie has diluted the rich Japanese car culture.

It’s easy to overlook the Japanese car enthusiasts’ fascination with supercar modifications, particularly adding glittering and flashy things. Shmee has seen these seemingly extravagant car modifications before, but it’s literally – or as the youth would say – lit.

Supercar Blondie was able to meet with Morohoshi, a Fighting Star-san, this time. His choice of car? A Lamborghini Aventador Anniversary Edition with LED lights and 70,000 Swarovski Crystals. This is not the first time that we have seen cars covered with Swarvoski. A Huracan was covered in 1.3 million of the most expensive crystals.

Nothing could match the attention-grabbing Morohoshi–san’s Aventador. As if one of the 100 Aventador Anniversary Editions wasn’t enough flash, his supercar could illuminate an entire street. It can grab anyone’s attention, even cops. Morohoshisan joked that police have been a problem with his Aventador but that doesn’t stop him driving his car through the bustling streets of Tokyo.

Apart from the Swarovski crystals and LEDs, the Aventador is lit up with ornaments like a Pikachu metal figurine by the bumper. Morohoshi san explained that this was for kids because they love yellow Pokemon. A customized horn sound and Doraemon decal are also displayed by his driver’s windows.

No matter how bizarre or strange the modifications, the individuality displayed by Japanese car guys like Morohoshisan is truly remarkable. It’s a reminder of how Japanese car culture can be combined with Western tastes with a striking result.
