The P1 is still a fast and reliable option to Senna.
McLaren’s Senna has become the new hot item. But Lanzante is working to make a longtail version of the P1. The company is perhaps familiar to you from the production of the 986-horsepower (735 kilowatts) LM, and performing road-legal conversions for the GTR.
At this time, details about the P1 GT Longtail remain largely unknown. One teaser photo from the company shows changes such as vents at the tops of the fenders, and a larger front splitter. The photo of the cabin is completely stripped shows that development is still ongoing. At this point, the seats are not even in the cabin.
Longtail is the moniker for the tuned hypercar. It has more aerodynamic rear bodywork to cut through the air better than the stock hypercar. This more slippery design could increase the P1’s top speed and also be an aesthetic upgrade.
Lanzante could leave the powertrain to the Longtail, which would produce at least 903 horsepower (673 kW), or 986 horsepower if it uses a GTR for the donor car. These parts could also be found on the Longtail because the company has developed better charge coolers and an Inconel exhaust for the LM.
According to a report, the P1 GT Longtail was reportedly a one-off commission from an individual in the Middle East. Drive Tribe. But, if you have the money and a P1 to spare then there is no reason to believe that Lanzante won’t make another one for a wealthy client.
McLaren produced only ten examples of the F1 GTR Longtail. These models were the final evolutions of the F1 racecar and had a modified body to increase downforce. Three road-going F1 GT versions were also produced by the company. These cars were 297 lb (135 kilogram) lighter and featured a six-speed sequential gearbox with six speeds, fully adjustable suspension, and a reduced weight of 135 kilos.
McLaren revived with the 675 Longtail, which cut weight and increased power over the 650S. Officials from McLaren have not been secretive about their plans to eventually build a 720 Longtail.
