Rolls-Royce Says Goodbye To The Current Ghost With Zenith Collect

Each Ghost Ghost will have 50 pieces, with a nod towards the 2009 concept.

The Ghost was shown off at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. It’s been around for more than a decade so it’s time for the stately sedan make the transition to the next generation. Rolls-Royce will be saying goodbye to its Ghost in a grand way by creating a bespoke special edition called the “Zenith Collection.” Only 50 cars will be made by the Goodwood team.

Each car will feature a unique feature in honor of the concept which marked the arrival of the Ghost 10 years ago. The Zenith Collection cars’ center console will be adorned with a commemorative ingot made of the 200EX Spirit of Ecstasy. The special edition’s name will be engraved on the Rolls-Royce statue. The analog clock located on the dashboard of the passenger side can be said the same.

The 200EX is a nod to the Ghost’s swan song. A special center console has an engraving of a blueprint-like art “enlarged to a level of abstraction” and divided into 50 parts for each Zenith Collection car Rolls Royce. The door cards will feature perforated leather. They will also be equipped with ambient lighting and wood trim to create a warm atmosphere in the luxurious cabin.

The new Zenith Collection is a tribute to the 1907 Silver Ghost. It features unique embroidery on the rear seats, which was inspired by the Ghost’s ancestor. The extended-wheelbase model will have a headliner that resembles the Spirit of Ecstasy’s silhouette. While the standard-wheelbase model will receive a unique configuration of a glitzy starlight header to look like a shooting star, thanks to more 1,340 fiber optic lights.

Buyers (called “patrons”) can choose from a variety of paint schemes outside the car. These include Bohemian Red and Black Diamond, Iguazu Blue, Andalusian White, Premiere Silver, and Arctic White.

Rolls-Royce’s last chance to get the Ghost is based on the same recipe used for the final Phantom VII cars, which were launched in 2016 before the flagship’s transition into its eighth generation. You might be tempted to rush and buy this Ghost if you have the funds. The company states that “order books will close immediately for this seminal Collection.”

The next-gen Ghost has been seen in testing multiple times, and we expect to see it sometime next.
