Brabus Ultimate E proves that good things come in small packages

This shows that you can have fun even with less power.

Brabus Ultimate E isn’t a new product. The Brabus Ultimate E was first revealed as a concept in 2017. It was then followed by a production ready version two year later. Brabus unveiled a new electric powered variant at the Frankfurt Motor Show a year ago. It was limited to 23 examples. The tuning studio will unveil a new Ultimate E version today.

The model’s facelift is based upon the Smart EQ forTwo Cabrio The 2020 model year will see a performance upgrade to its electric powertrain. The electric pocket rocket now has a peak output power of 92 horsepower (68 Kilowatts) thanks to a reprogrammed torque controller system, special modules that control the driving dynamics switch, accelerator pedal and a gateway.

This peak can only be achieved when you select the Sport+ driving mode. There are four modes to choose from. The electric powertrain’s maximum potential is unleashed at 133 pound-feet (180-Nm) of torque. This allows for sprints from a standstill up to 62 miles per an hour (0-100 km/h) in just 10.9 seconds. Electronically controlled, the top speed is 81 mph (130 km/h).
