This tiny sedan can tow up to 2,000 pounds in the US.
To be fair to owners of compact electric cars ( Tesla Model 3 Nissan Leaf Chevrolet Bolt), towing is not usually a top priority. Technology and range are important. However, EV owners who are interested in pulling toys like dirt bikes and jet skis can rest easy knowing that the Polestar2 sedan has the highest towing capacity in its segment.
According to the company, the Polestar 2’s braked towing capacity is 2,000 pounds (910 kg) with its standard 78-kilowatt hour battery pack and an optional factory-electronic folding tow bar. This is comparable to the Tesla Model 3’s maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds (910 kg) with the optional European tow hitch.
The Polestar 2 has the best-in-class towing capability and offers 15.5 cubic feet (440 Liters) total luggage space. The trunk holds 14.3 cubic feet (405 Liters) of storage, and the “frunk”, 1.2 cubic feet (33.5 Liters) is available for luggage. Polestar owners will find plenty of storage space with the roof rack.

The production Polestar 2 will arrive in 2020 with a range of 275 miles (443 km). The base model is priced at $45,000 in the U.S.; buyers who wish to purchase the Launch Edition for the first year will need to pay EUR59,900 (approximately 68,200).
