These could be yours for as little as one Shelby GT500 base model.
The Ford Mustang. Few vehicles have ever been customized by their owners in motoring history. But Ford, with its dizzying array special-edition models as well as factory-built performance parts, is a leader in customizing automobiles. The Ford-backed upgrades allow dealerships such as Brown Lee Ford, Morrison, Tennessee to build custom-built high-horsepower Stangs at dealer level. This is exactly what this store did. It’s also affordable and still comes with a full warranty.
What is the price? Brown Lee Ford claims it will sell a 2020 Mustang GT with a Roush supercharger for $39.995. This special package increases the GT’s 5.0-liter V8 to 700 horsepower thanks to a Roush Supercharger kit. We don’t list any other changes to the Mustang, but at $39,995, we assume it’s a base-model GT. This would give the Mustang a six-speed manual transmission for shifting, but it also means that the GT Performance Package ($3,995 optional) would not include the upgraded brakes or suspension components. Although we would prefer to have better control with a 700-hp engine under the hood, this deal is still quite impressive at $43,990.
Brown Lee Ford confirms that the power upgrade is covered by warranty when installed by a Ford dealer, or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician. However, we aren’t certain if the coverage would apply if you were captured on video blasting the engine off of the rev limiter while doing a huge burnout. It all sounds great and can be used to get a pony car that is insanely powerful without having to take out a third mortgage.
This Roush-powered $40,000 pony is tempting with its 717-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat price tag and the 760-hp Shelby GT500 entry at $73,995 this Roush-powered pony with warranty coverage.
