Toyota Supra Makes Euro Debut In Geneva As A Sold Out Model

All European units have been reserved for 2019, 2020 pre-orders are now open.

Another BMW B58-powered BMW car makes its debut at Geneva. The new Toyota Supra, powered by a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter Inline-Six engine, is joining the Morgan Plus Six from Switzerland. The single turbocharged twin-scroll turbocharged motor on the Old Continent produces 340 horsepower (254 kilowatts), and 369 pound feet (500 Newton-meters), of torque.

Although Toyota didn’t intend to produce a new Supra like many Supra enthusiasts around the globe, I wanted it to happen. “The new GR Supra was born from testing at Nurburgring. I can honestly say it is a car which is fun to drive, and better than ever,” Akio Toyoda (Toyoda President) about the revived Supra.

The new Supra will be on display in Geneva. This will provide a great opportunity to meet potential customers and fans of the model. However, Toyota will not be selling the car this year. All Supra units on the continent that are scheduled for delivery in 2019 by the Japanese company have been announced.

Toyota stated that it would only build 900 examples the two-door sports car in Europe in 2019. 90 of these are for the A90 Edition special-edition model. According to the automaker, the Supra’s waiting list now exceeds thousands. 2020 reservations will be reopened shortly.

A number of bonuses will be offered to the first European owners of this model. Toyota has not yet revealed the benefits but stated that customers will be able to access exclusive experience programs as well as a variety of rewards that can’t be bought with money.
