You don’t have to be able to do it, but you shouldn’t.
Ever wondered how you could make a connection between a Mazda Protege 20 years old and a new Bugatti Chiron. We didn’t, nor did the Life O_ YouTube folks. However, they did find enough motivation to fit four Turbochargers to the Mazda’s brave 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Meet quad turbo Bugatti and quad turbo Mazda. They are like brothers from another mom. They not.
We are truly speechless after watching this video. A Protege from the early 2000s is a good choice for cheap cars. You can also find rubber plumbing connectors at your local hardware store. It’s obvious that this is a high-quality build, but it gets even better when you go to the hardware store for parts. Tape and hose clamps are what hold all this stuff together. This build was expensive, with the exception of oil lines to turbos. This was not possible.
This was not a legitimate project. Each turbo was attached to its own cylinder with all the connections to an incontinence tube. All the men in the video were fumbling out about the steam coming out of the pipe during a test run. However, the exhaust manifold was connected so no air would be coming out. The next step was a chained-up fire in the shop, then another and finally the nitrous. The video really came alive when sparks flew during the final burnout.
Is the engine able to withstand the four turbos and nitrous? Given the ridiculous effort required to build this beast, did the turbos actually make any boost? The video will do the talking. If you want the finale, skip the in-shop antics.
