The Arsenal joins the Senat In Aurus’ collection of Russian luxury vehicles.
Russia’s luxury brand Aurus is currently testing its upcoming Minivan on the streets in Moscow. The machine was seen driving near the Kremlin by a reader from Motor1.com. He snapped photos.
The Arsenal, like the Aurus Senat sedan or the upcoming Komendant SUV has a large grille with a massive body. The platform is shared by all three models. The Arsenal is larger than the comparable vans from Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen. The Arsenal’s twin-turbo V8 produces 598 horsepower (or 446 kilowatts). It runs through a 9-speed automatic and an all-wheel drive system.
Although we don’t yet have a view of the Arsenal, we can expect very luxurious surroundings if our Senat is any indication. The sedan is adorned with lots of leather and a mixture of metal and wood trim. This four-door sedan also features modern driver assistance tech such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and automatic emergency brake.
Although Aurus has not yet made the Arsenal public, his friends can check it out. During a recent meeting, for example, Russian leader presented the minivan to Egyptian President Abdel Fatah el Sisi.
Senat, Komendant and Arsenal get their names from the towers of the Kremlin. These vehicles will be used by the Russian government, which will include armored versions. Aurus will also sell them to public. The brand will eventually expand to other countries, with the goal of eventually shipping 10,000 vehicles per year.
Vladimir Putin already uses an extended version the Senat for his official limousine. In Russia, sales to the public will begin in January 2019.
