2022 Opel Grandland Renovated With A Subtle Facial

The Peugeot 3008’s German sibling is the brand’s oldest SUV.

Opel released the updated Crossland X crossover in October 2020. A new Mokka-inspired design, new technologies and a shorter name with no X suffix were all part of the facelift. Although we haven’t yet seen spy photos of larger Grandland X with similar updates, logic suggests that Opel will soon introduce a facelifted model of the Peugeot 3008-based SUV.

Motor.es, our friends, took a look at the Grandland’s future and created this rendering. This virtual drawing shows a more streamlined front fascia, featuring Mokka-inspired headlights that feature C-shaped daytime-running LEDs and a slimmer upper Grille. The bumper’s lower section features a hexagonal grille that has a mesh pattern and integrates LED fog lamps.

We don’t anticipate any major visual changes to the Grandland (the X is likely to disappear with the facelift). There will be some changes at the rear, including new bumper designs and redesigned taillights. There might be new exterior colors or wheel options depending on the trim level.

Since its September 2017 debut, Opel has kept the Grandland updated. The most recent update to the German SUV was an all wheel-drive plug-in hybrid powertrain that produces 300 horsepower (224 Kilowatts) as well as 332 pound-feet (332 Newton-meters). We think the PHEV system is likely to be the focus of the new facelifted model, as Europe’s emission standards are becoming more strict. Customers will also be able choose from turbocharged gasoline or diesel engines.
