Old Lada gets Double-Decker Suspension for the Ultimate Comfort

They say that you can’t create a new suspension design in your garage. The Russians are telling you to hold your vodka.

Many of you may have sat in a car parked on top a trailer. This is a unique situation in which the vehicle sits stationary, and the truck bumps into a bump. It creates an extremely luxurious feeling inside the vehicle’s cabin. What is the reason for this?

The Garage54 team believes that the double suspension is responsible and decided to replicate the layout on a real working car. It’s not legal to drive, but it is a rusty Lada which has been used for various mechanical experiments. The white sedan is from the 2104 series. It is also shown with the stock suspension at the beginning. It is flanked by a Volga-sourced front wheel, which must be modified to accommodate the Lada’s smaller track.

At least, the idea is straightforward. The suspension must be modified so that it can attach to the factory Lada suspension. They would like the car’s springs to work with the Volga suspension springs. Garage 54 refers to this as a double-decker suspension. The video at the top shows the car being prepared for this upgraded suspension.

This is not an easy task. The suspension must be modified, as well as the whole car. This includes cutting the rear bumpers. This is a difficult task because the Lada has rear-wheel drive, but it gets a suspension from an FWD vehicle. What is the result? The result?
