The S350d 4Matic short-wheelbase model is the cheapest S money you can buy at 88,446 Euros
The Mercedes S-Class facelift, which made its debut at Auto Shanghai just over a month ago is now available to empty your bank accounts for European residents. As of today, orders are being taken and the first cars will be available in dealerships across Europe starting July. The flagship featuring the three-pointed star logo will be available in four versions: S350d S400d S560 and S63. All models will carry the suffix “4Matic” at the end to indicate that they have all-wheel drive.
The Mercedes S350d, which is priced at EUR88,446 in Germany, starts at EUR91,791. They share an inline-six 3.0-liter engine that produces 286 horsepower (210 kW) and 600 Nm (442lb-ft). The S400d (EUR93.206 & EUR96.479) increases the power output to 340 horsepower (250 kW) and 700 Nm (516 Lb-ft), both also available from a 3.0-liter engine.
The S560 has a 4.0-liter V8 that produces 469 HP (345 kW) & 700 Nm (516 Lb-ft) for those who prefer the smoothens and refinements of a gasoline engine. This version is available in three versions: a short wheelbase starting at EUR113,960; a long wheelbase starting at EUR116,994 and a fancy extra-long Maybach starting at EUR143,508.
Temporary range-topper is the HTML63, available as an LWB model starting at EUR160,293 and boasting a massive 612 horsepower (450 kW) along with 900 Nm (664lb-ft), generated by the 4.0-liter V8 that replaces the old 5.5-liter unit. The SWB version will be joining the family in the latter part of the year, as will the V12-powered models.
An S Class can be priced higher than the base model, as Mercedes offers a wide range of options for customers who are willing to check the boxes in the configurator. The extended LED ambient lighting system with 64 colors is available for EUR476, making it one of the most affordable options. The Remote Parking Assistant is available at a very affordable EUR4,343. The Driving Assistance package costs EUR2,737, while the Ultra Range Highbeam feature is available on all versions. It works with the standard LED headlights for the S63 and S560. All other versions cost EUR1,999.
Although U.S. pricing has not yet been released, we know that the new S-Class will be available in the States this fall.
