It could run to more than $50,000
Ford has a lot of plans for the Jeep Wrangler fighter, even though it is just entering its second model-year. The Raptor will be the first, followed by Everglades with its factory snorkel and winch. A manual gearbox will be available for the Sasquatch and new paint options. It appears that there will also be an update for the 2022MY.
Ford has uploaded the 2022 Bronco configurator. However, it appears to be missing a new trim that will likely be above the Wildtrak. Ford Authority managed to obtain documents from dealers showing the different trim levels. Wildtrak isn’t the only one, as Heritage and Heritage Limited are following. This suggests that these two models will be more expensive, perhaps exceeding $50,000, as Wildtrak’s two-door model is $47,780, while the practical body style is $49,475 at $49,780.
We are curious if the Heritage Limited will have its own trim level or be a limited edition. This could help justify the premium Heritage’s price tag. An earlier report claimed that Ford plans to sell the Bronco Heritage exclusively in 2022MY, both in two- and four-door configurations.
Plans are being made to make further tweaks to the lineup. A hybrid version is possible and was spotted by us a few months back. The Blue Oval will reportedly bring a mid-cycle refresh in 2024, one-year earlier than originally planned, but not with any trucks, as rumors suggest that it won’t be expanding its pickup options beyond the Maverick Ranger, F-150, Super Duty and F-150.
An all-electric Bronco is possible according to a tweet by Jim Farley, Ford CEO.
