The adorable little car on wheels is not just a concept that Toyota will display at auto shows. It’s also a production-ready electric vehicle, which Toyota plans to sell in Japan by 2020. The “Ultra-Compact BEV” is the official name of the tiny car. It’s a two-seater that’s designed for elderly drivers and new licensees. Toyota claims the EV is a pint-sized car that caters to people who work in other cities and need an easy way to contact customers.

The electric car is available in two versions, one designed for personal use and one that can be used for business purposes. This version has a configurable interior, depending on which mode you choose (drive, office or relax), and features amenities such as a folding table that can be used to hold your tablet while you are on the move.

Toyota will display the Ultra-Compact BEV next week at the Tokyo Motor Show, alongside the smaller 2013 i-ROAD as well as several other walking-area electric vehicles (both standing and seated) and a wheelchair-linked model.
