The Huayra’s Mercedes-AMG engine is identical to Hamilton’s F1 car.
The Pagani Huayra Coupe has been built 99 times and is now ready to go. The final 100 examples will get an exterior design inspired by Lewis Hamilton’s Formula 1 title-winning car. The hypercar, appropriately named “L’Ultimo”, has been ordered by Brett David (CEO of Prestige Imports) and will be delivered to Pagani’s Miami showroom in June.
It took a long time to achieve the perfect specifications as the Italian marque closely worked with the future owner to construct his Huayra Coupe. The eight-month construction of the masterpiece on wheels required the installation of the Mercedes-AMG V12 engine, which delivers a remarkable 720 horsepower and 1,000 Newton meters (738 pound-feet), of torque.
We don’t have any images of the actual car. These are only official renderings by Pagani that show how the Huayra Coupe will look. The AMG-powered car is a beauty, and the F1-inspired livery makes it even more attractive.
Pagani is currently putting together the Streetster. The droptop, like the one with the fixed roof is limited to 100 units. However, it doesn’t have the exact same specifications as the coupe due to the fact that it has received upgrades from the more ardent Huayra BC. To preserve its exclusivity, the latter was limited to 20 cars.
Pagani is eager to discuss the Huayra replacement, and how an AMG-sourced engine will be connected to a manual transmission. A fully electric model is also in the plans, but it will not arrive until the middle if the next decade.
