These cars come with a car cover that resembles C8.R-racer.
To celebrate the C8.R’s dominance in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, the 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition is available. This special model will be limited to 1,000 left-hand drive units and has styling that resembles the competition. The pace car for the Detroit Grand Prix 2021 is a convertible model.
The IMSA GTLM Championship Edition begins with the 3LT trim and the Z51 Performance Package. This package adds $65,595 to the model’s net price, which is $87,085 in the coupe and $94,085 in the convertible.
You can choose from Accelerate Yellow with gray graphics, or Hypersonic Grey with yellow touches. The special edition has a high-wing spoiler, yellow brake discs, carbon flash mirror caps and black wheels.
To match the exterior, the interior can be ordered in Strike Yellow or Sky Cool Gray. GT2 seats are standard on the special edition, but Competition Sport chairs can be ordered. These chairs also come standard with yellow seat belts, and a numbered plaque.
The Corvette special edition comes with a car cover featuring the design of No. 3, or No. 4 Corvette C8.R race cars.
Chevys claims that all 2022 Corvettes will benefit from an improved direct injection fuel system, engine calibration, and an increased Active Fuel Management range. The V8’s output does not change.
The Corvette 2022 coupe will begin at $62,195, including destination. The convertible will cost $69,695. The new model year’s production will start in the third quarter 2021. Chevy has stopped assembly of ‘Vettes due to parts shortages.
