New Porsche 911 GT3 RS Spied Testing Massive Wing At The Nurburgring

The track is the best place to test these massive rear wings.

It has been a while since Porsche introduced the 992-generation of its flagship 911 sports car. Stuttgart is not wasting any time in filling the gaps created by the new-generation model. While the normal models are now available, this year’s GT3 made its international debut. Our spy team spotted the new 911GT3RS, which is more track-oriented and was now being developed.

Although this is not the first time the GT3 RS has been seen in the wild, it would be the first time the track-focused model visited its natural habitat, Nurburgring.

Similar to the earlier sighting the 911 GT3 RS was spotted with license plates and German emissions stickers at the bottom corner. This eliminates the possibility of the 911 GT3 Cup.

Porsche has done a fantastic job hiding some of the 911 GT3 RS’s most important features. Although you might think you are looking at an unmodified model, the 911 GT3 RS has actual black body cladding to disguise its true form. The automaker will not be able hide the massive wings.

Despite the lack of information, there are certain things that we can expect from Porsche’s 992-generation 911 GT3 RS. The 992-generation 911 GT3 RS will have a stiffer chassis and a larger set of brakes. It also has a naturally-aspirated 4.0 liter mill, which should produce at least 502 horsepower (374 kilowatts), and 346 pound feet (469 Newton-meters), in the non-RS 911GT3.

Although it is not certain if the 911 GT3 RS will make its debut in its entirety this year or not, it seems more likely that it will make an appearance in the early 2022.
