German Carbon Fiber Camper Trucks from GEO-Cab Coming To America

There are conversions available for every vehicle, from the Jeep Gladiator to the Ford F-350.

GEO-cab is a German-based GEHOCab. We wrote about it in August 2020 . GEO-cab, the San Diego-based distributor of GEHOCab is connected to both companies. We’re about to see some impressive camper conversions in the US for a wide variety of pickup trucks and SUVs including the upcoming Ford Bronco.

The Bronco, and the Land Rover Defender These were the main points of our previous report. However, the transition from Germany into the USA requires a change in size. GEO-cab offers Badger campers that attach directly to the vehicle. You can choose from a variety of Badger models, including the Bronco and the A-Class. Jeep Gladiator . The ST is the smallest Badger. GEO-cab estimates that it measures between 155.5 inches and 167.3 inches with a ceiling height up to 78.7 inches. It includes two sleeping areas and an additional sleeping area. A variable-sized bathroom is also included in the package. It is designed to fit SUVs such as the G Class. However, the Badger LT, which has a longer wheelbase, is available for the G (extended) and the Jeep Gladiator as well as older Land Rover Defenders. It has a similar ceiling height, but it is a bit longer and can accommodate four people.

The Badger LR camper is larger at 190.9 inches and has a lower ceiling of 76.8 inches. The Badger LR also has a variable-sized bathroom that can accommodate two-plus-two sleepers. It’s made for midsize trucks such as the Toyota Tacoma and the Nissan Frontier. However, GEO-cab states that this model is still being developed for North America. The Badger XT, the most luxurious model, has a ceiling of 84.6 inches and a length of up 236.2 inches. It also features a fixed bathroom.

The campers add very little mass to their donor cars due to the use of carbon fiber inside and outside. The dry weight ranges from 1,014 pounds for Badger ST to 1,653 with Badger XT. All campers have a cabover alcove that has fixed sleeping, a toilet, and large windows so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Badgers have a unique fiberglass furniture design that has components embedded in the camper rather than bolted. Yes, carbon fiber can also be used if you wish.

Gerhard Oertelt, CEO of GEO-cab, explained to Motor1.com the unique nature of campers. Before production can begin, the company works closely with customers to design the product. Oertelt stated that construction takes place in Germany, and there is currently a wait of about nine months from order to delivery. Production is scheduled to begin in August.

Prices start at $130,000, and can go up to $200,000 depending on the carbon fiber content and customization. This price does not include the donor vehicle. GEO-cab will handle installation for most US cars.
