Dom loves Dodges but his brother drives Fords.
Editor’s Note: HTML9 is out today in the UK and on July 8 in the USA. We are republishing this list, breaking down all the cars that will be in the new Vin Diesel-starring cinematic spectacle
There are so many ways to get away
Dom is a Dodge guy. He has not only the Charger, also known as the Tantrum, but also the 1327 Charger with the massive supercharger sticking out from the engine bay.
A New Charger For Dom
The 1968 Charger is his primary ride in . It has a unique feature: a mid-mounted V8 motor. The suspension is lowered and the front fenders are modified to arch toward the wheels. These changes are even more dramatic at the rear, where the coupe’s hips are big thanks to the wider fenders.
Take a look inside
A piece of plexiglass is used to separate the engine and Dom. Inside are bucket seats with low backs. The driver must find it difficult to hear the engine roaring when it starts. Anyone passing by can see the exhausts and powerplant through the rear window.
Get Down to Business
The family chases down the Armadillo, an armored trailer. This is as seen in the HTML9 trailer. This shot shows Han and Mia, who have just returned from their honeymoon, in an orange-and-black Supra. Dom’s midengine Charger can be seen on the right. They are being chased down by one of the bad guys’ rigs.
The Final Frontier
We also know from the trailer that there is a Pontiac Fiero powered by jets that appears to be heading into space. This wild look may inspire some builders to make their own non-functional replicas for local car shows. It exposes the Fiero’s beauty to a new generation.
Fit for a Noble
Helen Mirren is back in F9 as Magdalene Shaw. She will be driving a Noble HTML600 with an eye-catching colour scheme that combines bright yellow and eggplant purple.
The New Villian
John Cena plays Jakob Toretto (Dom’s brother) as the new villain of F9. He is a big fan of Dodge, but not his big brother. His car is simply referred to as a 2016 Ford Mustang. However, there are obvious GT350 touches. The hood scoop gives it a more aggressive appearance. Above is a shot of Dom and Jakob having an automobile battle with each other.
And the Rest
A bunch of images were included in the gallery to show F9 machines. These images include alternate angles for some of the models mentioned above, as well as tertiary vehicles which are unlikely to play a significant role in the film.
