It is expected to debut within the next few weeks.
Officially, the Renault Kadjar will not be getting a new generation. The French manufacturer will instead replace it with a similar-sized crossover bearing the Austral moniker. Now that we’ve seen a lot of teasers and spy photos with the new model, it’s time for us to take a final unofficial but highly revealing look at the Kadjar.
These renderings show the Austral’s final appearance and were provided by Kolesa.ru. These digital renderings are approximately 90% accurate. However, we must wait for the official debut to see any changes to the actual car. This shouldn’t be surprising if you are familiar with the Austral. The crossover will feature many of the same design elements as the Megane E-Tech Electric. It will also have an nearly identical cabin layout with its huge 24.3-inch screen. Google Maps, Google Search, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity are some of the promises made by the automaker. The cargo volume of 30 liters will be distributed across various storage compartments throughout the cabin.
The Austral will be launched as a more conventionally-oriented model than the Megane E-Tech Electric. The Austral will launch as a more conventionally-oriented model than the Megane E-Tech Electric. However, it will come with a choice of hybrids and combustion engines. We don’t anticipate a diesel engine, much like the new Nissan Qashqai. We expect to see electrified and pure gas options. As the debut of the new Austral is near, we don’t expect any more previews. Renault hopes to make the new model available in Europe by spring. This likely means that we will be able to see its full debut within a few weeks.
