Ferrari V12-Powered Veloqx fangio Looks Wild during Yas Marina Test

It sounds just as amazing as it looks.

The Ferrari F125TDE was spotted in the UAE last May. As the Veloqx Fangio, this wild creation is known by another name. It made its official debut at Yas Marina last May. The association of these words may not sound familiar. “Veloqx,” a motorsport team, is the name of the vehicle. It won the 12 Hours of Sebring, and finished second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2004 with an R8.

Juan Manuel Fangio, five-time F1 champion, is called “Fangio”. He competed in both the endurance races mentioned above as well as the 24 Hours of Spa. He also won the 1953 Carrera Panamericana. This legendary Argentinian driver raced for Alfa Romeo Ferrari, Lancia Maserati and Maserati as well as for other defunct automakers such Gordini or Talbot-Lago. What is Veloqx Fangio, now that we have all that information? Although a press release has not yet been published, Motorsport.com interviewed Sam Li, the founder of the British team. It is planned to race in 2025 using a Ferrari V12-powered track-only vehicle. The powertrain can be modified to run on various fuels, including biofuel. Along with a low volume road car, a “variable zero emission fuel combustion engine” is being planned.

The first test was held last year at Bahrain International Circuit. Now it is being filmed in Abu Dhabi, on Yas Island. This Yas Island is where the circuit was constructed in 2009. Veloqx Fangio looks insane and runs on LMP2-spec slippers. After three years of computational fluid dynamic (CFD) research, the ultra-aggressive kit was created to maximize aerodynamics.

The huge front splitter seems like it could double as a snowplug, while the rear diffuser reminds me of a tractor airerator. The interior suggests that the Veloqx fangio is not just a Ferrari engine. It appears to be based on an F12, possibly the F12tdf. But, this has not been confirmed. The engine sounds absolutely amazing and the quad exhaust at the top is quite a sight.
