With its 1,250 Nm torque, it can likely move mountains.
Brabus is a brand that offers aftermarket services. Bottrop-based Brabus puts in all their efforts to get the best performance out of AMGs. The tuner has returned with a stronger build, less than a year after giving the S nearly 800 horsepower. They went one step further and increased the displacement of the V8 from 4.0 to 5.25 liters by boring the eight-cylinder block down to 84 millimeters (3.33 inches).
Brabus also installed larger pistons and a custom billet crankshaft. Eight bespoke piston rods were also fitted to increase the stroke to 100mm (3.9 in). The tuner also installed its own turbochargers, which can boost the engine to a maximum of 1.4 bar. The modified intake improves the air supply and the V8 breathes through an entirely new exhaust system.
It produces 888 horsepower (662kW) at 6,200 rpm, and 922 pound-feet (1.250 Newton-meters), at 2,900 rpm. However, the torque limit has been electronically set at 774 lbft (1.050 Nm) by Brabus to protect the driveline. The super sedan Affalterbach can hit 62 mph (100 km/h), in just 2.9 seconds from a standstill.
Not impressed? Brabus claims that the German rocket can travel from 0 to 120 mph (200 km/h), and 9.7 seconds to 23.9 seconds to 186 (300 km/h). It will reach a supercar-like 205 mph (330 km/h). However, the rocket’s speed is limited to protect the tires. The E63 S is a 21-inch forged wheel with Continental’s fat 265/30 ZR21 front rubber and 305/25 ZR22 back rubber.
Brabus has made the AMG more in line with the road than the standard car by bringing it closer to the road by 20mm (0.8in) to improve handling. The E63 S has the same devilish black look as last year and can be customized inside in infinite ways to “fulfill even extravagant customer requests.”
